Make Our Planet Great Again (MOPGA) 2022 - Visiting Fellowships Plan for Young Researchers
Launched in 2018, the "Brand Our Planet Not bad Again" (MOPGA) initiative has met with worldwide enthusiasm, generating expressions of involvement from a large number of highly qualified students and researchers.
The 26th Briefing of the Parties to the United nations Framework Convention on Climate change (UNFCCC) or COP26 have place from 31 October to 12 Nov in Glasgow (United Kingdom). French republic, equally a major actor in the fight confronting climatic change and guarantor of the spirit of Paris Agreement, implements a new MOPGA visiting fellowship programme that aims to take role in the strengthening of science contribution to the challenges raised by the COPs.
France's Ministries of Europe and Foreign Diplomacy (MEAE) and of Higher Education, Research, and Innovation (MESRI) in collaboration with Campus France, have implemented a new visiting fellowship program to welcome young foreign researchers wishing to bear farther enquiry in France.
The MOPGA Visiting Fellowships Programme for Immature Researchers will be supporting researchers working on topics related to:
- globe system sciences,
- climate change and sustainability sciences,
- free energy transition,
- societal challenges of environmental issues,
- human, animate being and ecosystem health as part every bit a "I Health" arroyo.

Who may apply?
Foreign researchers holding a doctoral degree for less than v years are encouraged to answer to this call for proposals. Applicants of all nationalities are welcome to utilise, except French nationals.
forty fellowships will be awarded to the young researchers over a 12-calendar month period from September 2022.
This fellowship includes the post-obit benefits :
- Monthly allowance of two,500 euros
- Moving allowance of 500 euros
- Support for social security coverage
- Support for health insurance
A visiting fellowship agreement with the French host institution will be established between the institutions and the laureates. It volition specify the means and resource made available by the host laboratory so that the researcher can carry out the research project.
Enquiry themes
Five wide research themes are prioritized:
- Globe systems,
- Climate change and sustainability,
- Energy transition,
- Societal challenges of ecology issues,
- Human, animal and ecosystem health as office as a "One Health" approach.

Eligibility
Candidates must:
- accept obtained their PhD less than five years prior to the awarding (i.due east. they must have dedicated their PhD between December 2016 and Dec 2021included),
- non hold French citizenship,
- not take resided in France after September 1st 2021 (more than 90 days).
The start of the visiting fellowship for young researchers in France is due to accept effect in September 2022.
Selection Process
Consistent with the aims and requirements of this call for applications, the selection process will unfold in two phases. In the first stage, scientific experts in the covered fields will evaluate the applications received. In the second phase, an international jury will make the final selection of candidates to receive support.

- PhD Diploma (or certificate of PhD diploma)
- CV of your research supervisor in the French host institution (2 pages max)
- Letter of support from the French host institution
- Letters of recommendation (3 max)
- Passport or proof of ID
Timeline
- Nov 8thursday 2021: Application menses opens
- January 17th 2022: Application flow ends
- End of June 2022 : Notification of results
- September 2022: Arrival of the laureates in the host French institution and commencement of the one-year research grant.
